After All: He is Risen!

He is risen!

Three incredible words that changed the course of history. Jesus' resurrection is what the entire Christian faith hinges on. As Paul writes in his letter to the Corinthians, if Christ did not rise our faith is useless and we should be pitied. Our hope is not in vain because of who Jesus is; He died, He rose, and life will never be the same!

The resurrection of Jesus is a historically reliable event. Its influence on the world can sometimes be overlooked. When we value things like human rights or view love as a virtue, we are acknowledging the power of the Christian revolution. Our declaration of a risen King isn't just something confined to a one day celebration. The Good News of Jesus invites us to live life as citizens of God's kingdom. Through proclamation and demonstration, we share the life Christ freely offers with us.

We enter this week, invited to walk in the victory secured at Calvary and affirmed in Christ's resurrection. Alleluia! Christ is Risen, Indeed!
